Source

Cynomolgus CD79A & CD79B Protein, His Tag&Flag Tag (CDB-C52D3) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Leu 33 - Arg 142 (CD79A) & Ala 30 - Asp 161 (CD79B) (Accession # XP_045235481.1 (CD79A) & A0A2K5WTH8-1 (CD79B)).

Predicted N-terminus: Leu 33 (CD79A) & Ala 30 (CD79B)

Molecular Characterization

The protein has a calculated MW of 17.6 kDa (CD79A) & 20.1 kDa (CD79B). The protein migrates as 27-30 kDa and 33-43 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

The protein is designed as a heterodimer.

Endotoxin

Less than 0.01 EU per μg by the LAL method / rFC method.

Purity

>90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

>95% as determined by SEC-MALS.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, 0.2 M Arginine, pH7.4 with trehalose as protectant.

Background

CD79a and CD79b heterodimers are the important signaling components of B cell receptor (BCR) complex which plays a crucial role in B cell development and antibody production. BCR complexes are composed of a ligand-binding receptor (membrane immunoglobulin; mIg), non-covalently associated with the signaling com-ponent, a disulfide-linked heterodimer of CD79a (Igα) and CD79b (Igβ). Both CD79 subunits consist of an Ig-like domain, a transmembrane (TM) region, and a longer cytoplasmic tail (CYT) containing an immune-receptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM).
