Fibronectin, a large glycoprotein, has multiple key functions. It mediates cell adhesion by binding to cell-surface integrins, enabling cells to attach to the extracellular matrix, which is vital for cell migration during processes like wound healing and embryonic development. In the bloodstream, it stabilizes blood clots by binding to fibrin. It could support mesenchymal stem cell attachment and proliferation.
GMP Recombinant Human Fibronectin fragment (GMP-FINH18) is expressed from E. coli cells. It contains AA Pro 1361 - Ser 1637 & Ala 1812 - Thr 2107 (Accession # P02751-15).
