Source

Rat Sortilin Protein, His Tag (SON-R52H3) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Gly 76 - Ser 753 (Accession # O54861).

Predicted N-terminus: Gly 76

Molecular Characterization

This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 77.4 kDa. The protein migrates as 90-120 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

Purity

>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

>90% as determined by SEC-MALS.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4 with trehalose as protectant.

バックグランド

Sortilin is a multifunctional type-I transmembrane protein belonging to the Vps10p-domain receptor family (Vps10p-Domain Receptors, Vps10p-DRs). Sortilin plays a central role in cellular protein sorting, signal transduction, and metabolism. Its dysfunction is closely related to neurodegenerative diseases, metabolic syndrome, and cancer, and it is a potential therapeutic target for diseases.
