Vitronectin is a multifunctional glycoprotein present in the extracellular matrix and plasma. It plays important roles in various biological processes. It functions as an adhesive protein, facilitating cell attachment and spreading by binding to specific cell-surface receptors. Overall, Vitronectin is essential for maintaining the integrity and normal function of tissues and for coordinating various physiological processes in the body. It could support embryonic stem cell attachment and proliferation.
GMP Human Truncated Vitronectin / VTN-N Protein (GMP-VINH19) is expressed from E. coli cells. It contains AA Val 62 - Leu 478 (Accession # P04004).
