Glycoprotein E/gE (HSV-2)

Glycoprotein E (gE) is an important envelope protein of Herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2). It facilitates cell-to-cell viral spread and immune evasion by binding the Fc region of host IgG. Due to its essential role in viral pathogenesis, anti-gE antibodies are highly valuable reference tools for infectious disease diagnostics (IVD), mechanism studies, and the development of next-generation targeted vaccines.
