Source

Biotinylated Human IL-20 Protein, His,Avitag (IL0-H82E3) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Leu 25 - Glu 176 (Accession # Q9NYY1-1).

Predicted N-terminus: Leu 25

Molecular Characterization

This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus, followed by an Avi tag (Avitag™).

The protein has a calculated MW of 21.1 kDa. The protein migrates as 21-23 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

Labeling

Biotinylation of this product is performed using Avitag™ technology. Briefly, the single lysine residue in the Avitag is enzymatically labeled with biotin.

Protein Ratio

Passed as determined by the SABA assay / HABA assay / binding ELISA.

Purity

>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

>90% as determined by SEC-MALS.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4 with trehalose as protectant.

バックグランド

Interleukin-20 (IL-20) belongs to the family of IL-10-related cytokines, which includes IL-10, -19, -20, -22, -24 and -26. IL-20 induces STAT activation through two types of receptor complex, one of which it shares with IL-19, indicating that their biological activities may overlap. Both cytokines may play an important role in regulating the development and proper functioning of skin. IL-20 has also been shown to promote endothelial cell tube formation, suggesting that it may be involved in vascular vessel maturation and remodelling.
