    Human CD3E&CD3D Heterodimer Protein, Fc Tag&Fc Tag is produced by co-expression of CD3E and CD3D, has a calculated MW of 38.3 kDa (CD3E) and 35.8 kDa (CD3D). Subunit CD3E is fused with a human IgG1 Fc tag at the C-terminus and subunit CD3D is fused with a human IgG1 Fc tag at the C-terminus. As a result of glycosylation, the protein migrates as 38-45 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition, and 40-45 kDa and 65-80 kDa under non-reducing (NR) condition (SDS-PAGE).

    The protein is designed as a heterodimer.

    This protein was used to immunize mice for antibody development. Proteins were mixed with CFA/IFA and immunized intraperitoneally. Mice were boosted every 14 days for 5 boosts following initial immunization. Serum titers were measured by ELISA following Days 0, 43, and 65. Some signal was detected in mice by Day 43 however by Day 65 all mice had developed an antibody response.

Background

T-cell surface glycoprotein CD3 delta & CD3 epsilon chain, also known as CD3D & CD3E or CD3D&CD3E respectively, are single-pass type I membrane proteins. CD3D, together with CD3- epsilon(CD3E) , CD3-gamma and CD3-zeta, and the T-cell receptor alpha/beta and gamma/delta heterodimers, forms the T cell receptor-CD3 complex. T cell receptor-CD3 complex plays an important role in coupling antigen recognition to several intracellular signal-transduction pathways.
